Thank you for visiting my web site. I'm glad you are considering taking piano lessons.

I hope you find all the information you are looking for in these pages.

Some of the activities my students are involved in are the Illinois Achievement in Music Program. This is a non-competitive, graded event that gives students clear goals and feedback from some of the best piano teachers in the area. Participating students get medals, pins and certificates, in addition to written comments about their progress.

Other important events include two formal piano recitals, the CAMTA Jazz Fest in Chicago, the NSMTA Sonata/Sonatina Festival, and the IMA Competition, to name a few.

I use a Point System to motivate students to keep up a good routine, and students get points for attendance, homework and even for bringing all their books to their lessons. Trophies are awarded at the December Recital.

I love music and I believe everybody has the right to have a solid music aducation. Please talk to me if you are unable to make payments. The National Association of Music Teachers offers scholarships for talented students with economic strains and I can certainly help you get started.

Also, students must bring a 3-ring binder to every lesson, in addition to piano books: The binder should have a copy of the Student's Group Info form, a cover for their compositions, a cover for their history research papers, and a pencil/eraser.
